On February 8th we will be welcoming ‘Julie knits in Paris’ for 2 exciting Knitting Workshops

Julie Dubreux is a French knitwear designer and knitting instructor. Her enthusiastic love for the knitting community translates into colourful collaborations with indie dyers from all around the world. Her designs have been published in PomPomQuarterly. Find her on Ravelry and Instagram as @julieknitsinparis . Julie is a very out-going, dynamic instructor. Her past experience as a high-school teacher allows her to handle larger groups and to manage groups of knitters with different levels of ability so that no one feels left out, and everyone actually gets to learn something new.

‘Gentle Brioche for first timers’

 Date:  Saturday 8th February

This workshop is taught English, because the brioche terminology is in english however Julie is bilingual and is willing to help a little in translation. (Maximum 14 participants )

Skill level: Intermediate knitting knowledge and Brioche beginners. 

Materials required: 4 or 4.5 mm circular needles, a crochet hook, a few locking stitch markers, 2 contrasting colours of smooth DK yarn.  

Workshop description: Gentle Brioche for first timers : learn the basics of two-colour brioche so you too can create and learn to knit reversible, squishy, cozy, colourful knits!

 ‘Toe-up Socks’ 

 Date:  Saturday 8th February

Time:  14h30 to 17h30 

  Price: 60€ /3 hours (materials not included)

This is a bilingual workshop (EN/FR – Maximum 14 participants )

All participants need a basic knowledge in circular knitting (intermediate level)

Materials required: 2.25 mm or 2.5 mm sharp circular needles, locking stitch markers, 10g of sockyarn (avoid very darkcolours) 

 Workshop description: A pattern-free handbag it-project  for knitting emergencies! Come and learn about smooth cast-ons, fitted heels and stretchy bind-offs for toe-up socks on circular needles!  Magicloop, sock construction, & neat finishing techniques.
